Your Mission

The Site Acquisition Manager is responsible for identifying, securing, and progressing strategic locations for the deployment of BYD’s Flash Charging network within the assigned country or cluster, with a primary focus on greenfield site development and the acquisition or retrofit of existing EV charging locations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Find new sites

Source and identify suitable locations such as:

  • Highways and major road corridors
  • Retail and commercial areas
  • Urban and mixed-use developments
  • Public or private land
  • Existing EV charging stations for upgrade or acquisition

2. Assess site feasibility

Evaluate whether a location is viable based on:

  • Accessibility and traffic flow
  • Space and expansion potential
  • Grid and electricity availability
  • Permitting and zoning constraints
  • Construction feasibility

3. Negotiate and secure deals

Engage with:

  • Landowners and real estate developers
  • Charging point operators
  • Municipalities and public authorities
  • Utilities and infrastructure providers

4. Manage permitting and readiness

Ensure sites are ready for development by coordinating:

  • Permits and local approvals
  • Access and land agreements
  • Contract execution and compliance

5. Coordinate internally

Work closely with:

  • Legal and commercial teams
  • Engineering and deployment teams
  • Finance and operations
  • External partners and stakeholders

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in site acquisition, real estate development, infrastructure expansion, or EV charging deployment.
  • Strong experience in greenfield infrastructure development and/or acquisition of operational infrastructure assets.
  • Experience evaluating or developing EV charging sites is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience negotiating with landowners, municipalities, utilities, infrastructure owners, or commercial real estate stakeholders.
  • Understanding of permitting processes, grid connection constraints, and infrastructure redevelopment.
  • Commercially minded, with the ability to balance rapid expansion and long-term asset value
  • Comfortable operating within standardized commercial and contractual frameworks
  • Ability to operate autonomously within a fast-moving matrix organization.
  • Fluency in English and local language(s)
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned country or cluster
