About The Role

As a member of the Product Design team at Aaru, you’ll help users make decisions faster. The Product Design team owns designing, building, and evolving user experiences across every surface of Aaru. You’ll design experiences for personas across the technical spectrum and synthesize cutting-edge research into features used daily by executives and developers alike

Responsibilities

• Identify patterns across user needs and product to 10x our simulation software’s impact
• Ship fast while advancing the platform design system
• Force-multiply engineering with high-quality prototypes using agentic workflows
• Experiment and advance AI-native design workflows
• Help us hire designers who raise the bar

• You’ve released your own products or have lead product design previously
• You thrive in ambiguous and novel technical domains
• You value feedback more than conformity
• You can defend your choices. When something's right, you can say why
• You use AI tools heavily, but your taste isn't outsourced to them
• You ship fast and know when to slow down for polish
• You communicate clearly in writing and in person
• You have the courage to push back and the humility to change your mind

• Have built a design system for a platform or developer product
• Have shipped 0→1 product surfaces, not just iterations on something that existed
• Have contributed to open source or production codebases

This role is based in New York City. Aaru is an in-person company, working 5 days a week in office. Candidates are expected to be located within the New York City metropolitan area or open to relocation.

Compensation Range: $205K - $320K
