AML/CFT Officer /Designated Non-Finance Businesses and Professions (On Contract)

We Are Hiring - Senior Compliance Officer DNFBPs Sector Oversight

Responsibilities

- Assist in increasing the number of onboarding institutions in the DNFBPs sectors.

- Conduct off-site examinations and follow-up reviews of DNFBPs.

- Perform risk assessments for DNFBPs.

- Conduct sector studies and thematic reviews to strengthen compliance monitoring. - Organize and deliver awareness programs, capacity-building workshops, and outreach initiatives across sectors. - Support stakeholder coordination relevant to DNFBPs.

- Assist in conducting meetings and reporting activities as required.

- Oversee DNFBP sector activities and provide management support.

- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) management. Educational Qualifications

- Degree or professional qualification in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. - Professional certifications in AML/CFT compliance such as ACAMS or Compliance Diploma preferred. Experience

- Minimum 15 years of overall banking experience, including at least 5 years in AML/CFT compliance or risk management roles; OR - Retired officers or individuals who voluntarily resigned prior to retirement age, with equivalent experience, will also be considered. Preferred Skills & Competencies

- Excellent proficiency in Sinhala & English or Tamil & English, with strong verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to prepare clear, concise, and well-structured reports and documentation. - Strong analytical thinking and ability to work under pressure.

- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

- High flexibility and adaptability in dynamic work environments.
