Role Overview


The M&A Associate will be responsible for the analytical backbone of the transaction process, with a strong emphasis on financial modeling, valuation, and quantitative assessment of acquisition and divestiture opportunities. This role is ideal for a detail‑driven finance professional who excels in dissecting financial statements, building robust models, and translating data into actionable insights that guide investment decisions.


This role is onsite in Downtown Miami


Key Responsibilities


  • Build, refine, and maintain complex financial models (3‑statement, DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution, sensitivity and scenario analysis).
  • Conduct valuation analyses using market comparables, precedent transactions, and intrinsic valuation methods.
  • Analyze target company financials, KPIs, unit economics, and historical performance to assess financial health and value‑creation potential.
  • Support due diligence by reviewing financial statements, quality of earnings, working capital trends, and key operational drivers.
  • Prepare internal investment memos, valuation summaries, and executive‑ready presentations outlining deal rationale, risks, and financial impact.
  • Evaluate synergy opportunities, integration risks, and post‑transaction financial implications.
  • Maintain transaction models, pipeline tracking, and internal reporting dashboards.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams (Finance, Accounting, Strategy, Legal, Operations) to validate assumptions and support deal execution.
  • Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to inform financial assumptions and strategic fit.


Desired Profile


  • 4+ years of experience in M&A, investment banking, corporate development, transaction advisory, or private equity.
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills—able to build models from scratch with speed and accuracy.
  • Strong command of valuation methodologies, capital structure concepts, and corporate finance principles.
  • Experience analyzing financial statements, cash flow drivers, and operational KPIs.
  • Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working with large datasets.
  • Strong written communication skills for internal memos and executive‑level materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced, deal‑driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CFA or MBA a plus.


Compensation & Benefits


Our client offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

Base salary range of $125,000 to $150,000
