Lead Product Manager - Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency - G6

As a Lead Product Manager, you’ll oversee a portfolio of technical products that support critical DVLA services. You’ll bring together teams, set direction, and ensure products deliver real value, balancing long-term strategy with day-to-day delivery.

Working closely with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams, you’ll play a key role in shaping how products evolve, improving services used by millions, and driving meaningful change across the organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading a portfolio of digital products, setting direction and priorities
• Defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps aligned to organisational goals
• Managing complex delivery across multiple teams and product areas
• Driving agile and lean delivery, ensuring quality, value, and impact
• Overseeing product performance, using KPIs and data to guide improvements
• Collaborating with senior stakeholders to align priorities and expectations
• Managing incidents, technical debt, and continuous product improvements
• Leading and mentoring Product Managers, building strong, high-performing teams
• Supporting recruitment, capability development, and product community growth

• Strong experience leading large-scale, complex digital product portfolios
• Proven ability to set strategy, manage roadmaps, and drive delivery at pace
• Experience working in agile environments and delivering digital transformation
• Confident communicator who can influence senior stakeholders
• Strong leadership skills with experience developing and mentoring teams
• Commercial awareness, including budgeting and resource planning
• A strategic mindset with the ability to balance competing priorities
• Passion for improving services and delivering meaningful outcomes
