Digital Designer

We are looking for a Digital Designer to support a short-term Contract assignment focused on improving an existing Wix website in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This position will work closely with onsite stakeholders to enhance site content, refresh visual presentation, and strengthen overall functionality. The ideal candidate brings hands-on Wix development experience, a strong sense of digital design, and the ability to make thoughtful updates in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:
• Partner onsite with team members in Hunt Valley, Maryland to identify website improvement opportunities and implement updates within the existing Wix platform.
• Revise site content by placing updated copy, refreshing imagery, and building new pages that align with branding and usability goals.
• Develop visually effective page layouts in Wix that deliver a clear, engaging experience across the website.
• Adjust and test desktop and mobile views to maintain consistency, accessibility, and ease of navigation on different devices.
• Apply custom code within Wix, including Wix Velo or similar tools, to enable enhanced features and more advanced functionality.
• Manage page connections and navigation paths by creating and updating internal and external links as needed.
• Offer practical recommendations during working sessions to improve layout structure, visual hierarchy, and user interaction.
• Respond quickly to feedback and refine designs in real time to keep the project moving efficiently.
• At least 3 years of experience designing and developing websites using Wix.
• Demonstrated skill in digital design principles, including layout, typography, and user-centered visual presentation.
• Hands-on ability to work with custom functionality in Wix through Wix Velo or comparable coding tools.
• Experience performing both content-focused website updates and design-driven enhancements.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in person with internal stakeholders.
• Proven problem-solving ability and comfort making adjustments quickly in an active working session.
• Familiarity with graphic design, content creation, and web page development software.
