We are looking for an IT Senior Project Manager – HRIS to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.


This role is ideal for an experienced IT project leader with deep expertise in Workday HCM, who can drive HR technology initiatives while leading teams and improving processes across the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of HRIS and Workday HCM projects, including implementations, enhancements, and upgrades
  • Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables across multiple HR technology initiatives
  • Partner closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to define requirements and drive alignment
  • Oversee and coordinate cross-functional project teams, ensuring successful execution
  • Drive improvements in project delivery processes, governance, and workflows
  • Facilitate Agile or hybrid project methodologies as appropriate
  • Ensure successful integration of Workday with other enterprise systems
  • Manage project budgets, resource planning, and vendor coordination
  • Provide regular status reporting and communication to leadership and stakeholders
  • Support change management and user adoption initiatives


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, HR, or related field
  • 7+ years of IT project management experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM experience (required)
  • Proven experience leading teams and driving project delivery
  • Strong understanding of HR systems, processes, and data flows
  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery models
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
