Role Summary
Compass Project Consulting is supporting a confidential developer client in the search for an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale mixed-use developments in Al Khobar.
The Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery and management of projects across all phases from design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, handover, and closeout.
The role will act as the primary point of contact between the client, consultants, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders while ensuring successful project delivery aligned with programme, quality, commercial, and operational objectives.
This role requires a strong client-side or PMC professional with proven experience managing large-scale mixed-use, hospitality, residential, or commercial developments within the GCC, ideally in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project delivery across all phases from inception through to handover and closeout
- Develop and manage overall project execution plans and associated subplans
- Manage consultants, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee procurement strategies, technical submissions, IFC documentation, and construction activities
- Manage authority approvals and stakeholder coordination
- Chair weekly progress meetings and prepare project dashboard reports and updates
- Monitor programme, risks, commercial performance, and mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with project quality, HSE, and operational standards
- Manage change control processes, client approvals, and project reporting
- Oversee inspections, snagging, testing, commissioning, and final handover activities
- Coordinate operational readiness and closeout documentation including warranties and asset information
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed timelines, budgets, and quality expectations
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 15 years’ experience within project management and construction delivery
- PMP certification preferred
- Strong client-side, developer, or PMC background
- Proven experience delivering mixed-use, hospitality, commercial, or residential developments
- Strong understanding of project delivery, procurement, contracts, authority approvals, and construction management
- Experience managing multidisciplinary consultants and contractors
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- GCC experience required, Saudi Arabia experience strongly preferred
- Fluent English communication skills required; Arabic is advantageous
