Financial Accountant (12-month FTC)

Overall Role Purpose

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, we have a great opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract to be involved in the growth of Magnet+ The Financial Accountant will be involved in monthly financial reporting as well as supporting the existing work processes within the business. The ideal candidate should be qualified with a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in Finance. Training and support for the role will be provided. The candidate will be required to attend the office 2 days a week. Candidate will be required to be flexible should the need arise to attend an extra day for team building purposes in accordance with the company’s hybrid working policy.

Key Accountabilities

• Accurate and timely reporting of Revenue numbers
• Assistance with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Support in preparation of year end statutory accounts and facilitating Auditor requests.
• Business performance analysis including monthly, YTD, YOY profitability and actual vs budget variances
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Support all finance functions within the business to include cash flow management, accounts receivable, accounts payable
• Assist with other finance projects and activities as they arise.

Required Qualification/ Expertise

• Qualified accountant with a proven ability to pass exams in ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent
• 3+ years post qualification in relevant Finance roles
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Analytical, organized and capable of working on one’s own initiative or be part of a team.
• The role will be varied, and the ideal candidate should be agile, flexible and willing to adapt.
