This position covers East-Central Ohio including Muskingum, Guernsey, Belmont, Noble, Morgan, Perry Counties. You must live in one of these listed counties or an adjacent county to be eligible for this position.

  • Performs field inspections using approved architectural &/or engineer designed drawings.
  • Coordinates inspections with the other inspectors & supervisor when needed during the course of construction.
  • Conducts, as needed, inspections of existing buildings & structures for safety to determine if Certificates of Occupancy may be issued.
  • Prepares detailed reports (written or electronic) on inspections performed for submission to the bureau office.
  • Itemizes violations to the electrical & building codes.

Certificate of competency as electrical safety inspector as issued by Board of Building Standards, per Section 3783.03 of Revised Code; valid driver's license. Please note: an agility assessment will be conducted to ensure capability to endure hazardous elements of this position
