Solution Architect

We offer

As our Solution Architect, you will play a central role in shaping how Change Delivery Department designs and delivers technology. You will own solution design from idea through production, working with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely with development teams, architects, and stakeholders across the business.

Your primary focus will be on designing and guiding the implementation of end-to-end solutions across cloud platforms, applications, integrations, data, automation and AI-driven capabilities. You will ensure that architecture decisions are grounded in delivery reality, translating business needs into clear technical scope, actionable designs, and measurable outcomes. Additionally, you will analyze existing solutions and provide guidance for continuous improvements, ensuring that current systems remain robust, efficient and aligned with evolving business requirements.

You will be equipped with the scope and trust to make real architecture decisions. Your work will directly influence delivery quality, engineering maturity, and long-term platform sustainability across the entire organization.

About You

You bring over 8 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, solution delivery and architecture roles, with a strong backend foundation and thorough full-stack knowledge. You have significant expertise designing and delivering end-to-end solutions in real production environments and are confident working across Azure services, .NET applications, data platforms, APIs, front-end components and integrations. Your depth across the stack enables you to make sound trade-offs and design integration approaches that prioritize reliability, security, data integrity, and observability.

You apply strong analytical thinking to identify technical risks early, bring structure to ambiguous problem spaces, and drive informed decisions that balance delivery speed, quality and sustainability. Comfortable with evolving requirements, you translate them into clear architecture, delivery structure and implementation direction. Your communication skills enable effective engagement with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, articulating trade-offs and architecture decisions with clarity. You take ownership of knowledge-sharing, documentation standards, mentor engineers and technical leads through design reviews, code reviews and practical guidance.

You understand how AI can enhance delivered solutions and engineering workflows, including AI-assisted development, agentic patterns, model integration, and orchestration and ensure its use is effective, secure, appropriately governed and grounded in real delivery value. Certifications in Azure, cloud architecture, security, Agile or DevOps are an advantage. Above all, you are a broad, adaptable technologist, motivated to move effectively across architecture, engineering, integration, cloud, data, and emerging AI patterns, continuously improving how technology enables efficient and impactful delivery across Stena Group IT.
