Role Overview
We are seeking a high-energy Email Marketing & Automation Specialist for a 3–6 month contract within the dynamic Nashville events industry. This role is critical for driving ticket sales, attendee engagement, and post-event follow-up through sophisticated automated workflows. You will manage the end-to-end execution of email campaigns for large-scale events, ensuring the right message reaches the right audience at the perfect moment.
The ideal candidate is a blend of a technical automation expert and a creative communicator who understands the fast-paced nature of event marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Development: Design, build, and deploy complex automated "drip" campaigns for event registrations, early-bird promotions, and attendee "know-before-you-go" sequences.
- Campaign Execution: Manage the day-to-end deployment of weekly newsletters, promotional blasts, and transactional emails.
- Segmentation & Personalization: Utilize behavioral data to segment large audience lists based on past attendance, geographic location, and professional interests.
- A/B Testing: Constantly optimize performance by testing subject lines, CTA placement, send times, and design layouts.
- Deployment & QA: Rigorously test all emails for rendering issues across various devices and email clients (mobile vs. desktop).
- Analytics: Track and report on key metrics including open rates, click-through rates, and conversion (ticket sales) attribution.
Technical Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in email marketing and marketing automation.
- Platform Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience with platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, or HubSpot.
- HTML/CSS: Ability to troubleshoot and make minor coding adjustments to email templates to ensure brand consistency.
- Data Management: Strong experience with list hygiene and managing opt-in/opt-out compliance (CAN-SPAM).
- CRM Integration: Experience syncing marketing automation platforms with CRMs to ensure seamless data flow.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the Events, Music, or Hospitality industries.
- Familiarity with event registration platforms (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite).
- Experience with visual project management tools like Workfront or Asana.

- Duration: 3–6 Months.
- Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite in Nashville / 2 days remote).
- Pace: Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with firm event-related deadlines.
