Salesforce Development Manager

We are currently engaged in a national search for a Salesforce Development Manager. The Salesforce Development Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, delivery, and continuous improvement of application development services supporting the enterprise Salesforce platform.

In this role, the Salesforce Development Manager will:

• Provide overall leadership and accountability for Salesforce application development, maintenance, and operational support functions.
• Provide accountability for application lifecycle management, technical direction, delivery execution, and operational stability across the Salesforce ecosystem.
• Oversee and govern Salesforce storage usage and consumption, including data growth monitoring, archival and retention strategies, and proactive FinOps practices on data consumption, ensuring efficient use of platform resources while meeting business, regulatory, and operational requirements.
• Execute the technical strategy for the Salesforce platform and oversee end-to-end delivery of Salesforce solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, security, data, and integration standards, leveraging Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow, SOQL, and declarative platform capabilities.
• Direct the implementation and ongoing management of Salesforce automation solutions, including Flow Builder, approval processes, and platform events.
• Guide the design and delivery of Salesforce user experiences using Lightning Experience, Dynamic Forms, and UI best practices.
• Provide oversight of code reviews, technical designs, and architectural decisions across Salesforce initiatives.
• Prepare and present status updates, risks, dependencies, and performance metrics to IT leadership and business partners.

The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:

• Leading, motivating, and developing a diverse, cross-functional technical teams that includes hiring, coaching and compensation reviews.
• Strong technical expertise in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and platform architecture.
• Leading teams using Agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices (e.g., Git, branching strategies, CI/CD).
• Hands-on development with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud environments.
• Five years in a leadership role managing technical staff, teams and or delivery processes in large enterprise environments.
• Seven to ten years in Salesforce application development.
• Strong understanding of all Salesforce Cloud offerings.
• Familiarity with OmniStudio/Vlocity. (preferred)
• AI utilization in coding for Salesforce.
• Managing vendor relationships and third-party delivery partners.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall delivery models.

Work Environment: This role can be remote for candidates who live in the following states: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia.

Preference will be given to those individuals who are within commutable distance to Rhode Island.
