Job Overview

The Technician is responsible for advanced evaluation, troubleshooting, and component-level diagnosis of returned product. The duties also include troubleshooting of manufacturing fallout. This role reports to quality and acts as a technical escalation resource within manufacturing, supporting process control, corrective action, and continual improvement to improve product quality, yield, and customer satisfaction.

• Perform advanced component-level troubleshooting of returned products and in-process manufacturing failures. Consisting of display boards, power supplies, network cards and control boards using SMT and thru hole technologies.
• Interpret and apply electrical schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and controlled manufacturing documents
• Conduct detailed failure analysis to determine root cause related to design, materials, assembly, or test processes
• Ensure all evaluations, repairs, and findings are accurately documented and traceable per ISO 9001
• Support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address nonconforming product
• Analyze defect data to identify trends and systemic risks
• Develop and maintain controlled troubleshooting procedures

ISO 9001 Responsibilities

• Support control of nonconforming outputs
• Participate in corrective action and verification of effectiveness
• Maintain objective evidence for audits and reviews
• Identify risks and opportunities and drive continual improvement

What will help you thrive in this role?

• Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
• 3+ years troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
• Component-level diagnostics and schematic expertise
• Experience in an ISO 9001-certified environment
• Advanced PCB troubleshooting (multilayer, SMT)
• Analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
• Precision soldering and rework
• IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/7721 knowledge
• Cross-functional work with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering
• Clear communication of technical findings
