Job Overview
The Technician is responsible for advanced evaluation, troubleshooting, and component-level diagnosis of returned product. The duties also include troubleshooting of manufacturing fallout. This role reports to quality and acts as a technical escalation resource within manufacturing, supporting process control, corrective action, and continual improvement to improve product quality, yield, and customer satisfaction.

- Perform advanced component-level troubleshooting of returned products and in-process manufacturing failures. Consisting of display boards, power supplies, network cards and control boards using SMT and thru hole technologies.
- Interpret and apply electrical schematics, PCB layouts, BOMs, and controlled manufacturing documents
- Conduct detailed failure analysis to determine root cause related to design, materials, assembly, or test processes
- Ensure all evaluations, repairs, and findings are accurately documented and traceable per ISO 9001
- Support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address nonconforming product
- Analyze defect data to identify trends and systemic risks
- Develop and maintain controlled troubleshooting procedures
- Support control of nonconforming outputs
- Participate in corrective action and verification of effectiveness
- Maintain objective evidence for audits and reviews
- Identify risks and opportunities and drive continual improvement
- Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
- 3+ years troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment
- Component-level diagnostics and schematic expertise
- Experience in an ISO 9001-certified environment
- Advanced PCB troubleshooting (multilayer, SMT)
- Analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
- Precision soldering and rework
- IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/7721 knowledge
- Cross-functional work with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering
- Clear communication of technical findings
- Manufacturing floor
- ESD-controlled work areas
- Regular use of microscopes, soldering tools and communication test software
