Production Cost Reporting Analyst

Key Responsibilities
- Review labor and quantity postings daily, weekly, and monthly for accuracy, and make corrections when needed.
- Audit routings for rate accuracy and partner with Engineering to update them as necessary.
- Perform time studies and recommend routing changes.
- Track, analyze, and report labor variances by production area.
- Support operations training related to proper labor entry and job reporting.
- Prepare job order variance reports and assist with variance review.
- Update item master data in M2M as needed.
- Investigate labor reporting errors, posting discrepancies, and inventory transactions.
- Support gross profit reviews by item number and identify key profit and loss drivers.
- Work with Operations leadership to identify major labor variances and help drive corrective actions.
- Experience with job costing and inventory control systems, M2M preferred.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Comfortable working with operators, supervisors, and management on the floor.
- Strong understanding of labor variances and production cost drivers.
- Experience and Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Engineering preferred.
- 2-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing routings, labor standards, ERP systems, and shop floor data collection preferred.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to move throughout the facility as needed.
- Some domestic and international travel may be required.
