Now Hiring: Account Advisor – Business Insurance (Commercial Lines)


Are you an experienced insurance professional who thrives on building relationships, solving client challenges, and delivering exceptional service?


We’re looking for an Account Advisor – Business Insurance (Commercial Lines) to join our growing team!


In this role, you’ll work closely with an assigned Account Manager to develop and deliver insurance proposals and renewals while ensuring an outstanding client experience across all assigned accounts.


What You’ll Do:

(Prospect & New Business Support)

  • Contact assigned prospects within 24 hours (unless otherwise directed)
  • Manage leads from multiple sources including:
  • Website inquiries
  • Incoming calls and emails
  • Client and employee referrals
  • Cross-sell opportunities
  • Carrier and marketing leads
  • Agency partnerships
  • Gather all necessary client information to solicit proposals
  • Submit applications to insurers and respond to underwriting inquiries
  • Present proposals and quotes to prospects
  • Bind coverage with insurers
  • Meet with clients and prospects in person, as needed
  • Use industry expertise to provide customized insurance solutions and best outcomes

(Client Service & Renewals)

  • Collaborate with clients to complete renewal applications and provide renewal quotes
  • Collect required information to bind renewal coverage
  • Deliver renewal information via email
  • Document all client interactions in Applied Epic using activities and attachments
  • Assist clients with insurance audits

(Additional Responsibilities)

  • Support carrier consolidation initiatives when requested
  • Track and report incoming leads and results
  • Maintain agency management systems to agency standards
  • Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and carrier regulations
  • Assist with additional projects and assignments as requested by management


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of insurance experience required
  • Active New Jersey Property & Casualty Producer License required
  • Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in business decisions
