Data Developer

Summary

Remote Crew is looking for two Data Developers to support the development of data solutions focused on risk and compliance. This role involves working with large datasets to build, validate, and optimize models related to areas such as fraud detection, AML, and responsible usage. You’ll collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, auditable data outputs in a regulated environment.

Salary €30k - 40k per year (B2B)

Location Hybrid in Portugal (Aveiro) - Office 1x/week

What You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain datasets and logic supporting risk and compliance models
• Build and optimize database objects to ensure reliable and auditable outputs
• Analyze and validate data/model results, suggesting improvements where needed
• Translate business and compliance requirements into scalable data solutions
• Investigate data quality issues and support documentation for regulated environments
• Communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support ETL/ELT processes, data transformations, and scheduled data workflows

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience working with data, ideally in compliance, risk, or similar domains
• Strong SQL skills and experience with SQL Server for data processing and analysis
• Solid understanding of data structures, validation, and data quality best practices
• Experience translating business requirements into data-driven solutions
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines (nice to have)
• Fluent English and strong communication skills across technical and business teams
