The Opportunity

We’re hiring a Project Engineer to support our growing heavy civil operations.

This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on involvement in complex infrastructure projects while developing their experience alongside experienced Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams.

You’ll play a key role in project coordination, field support, procurement, scheduling, documentation, and communication to help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and successfully.

What You’ll Do-Can include but are not limited to:

Support Project Execution

• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with daily project coordination
• Help ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
• Coordinate project information, drawings, specifications, and documentation
• Support subcontractor and vendor coordination
• Process and track material deliveries and project submittals
• Assist with billing breakdowns and project reporting

Work with Field & Operations Teams

• Coordinate self-performed and subcontracted work activities
• Develop project-specific work plans alongside field leadership
• Support field crews by ensuring accurate and up-to-date project information
• Assist with project startup and closeout documentation
• Coordinate with safety teams to support site compliance and communication

Support Planning & Documentation

• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents
• Perform quantity take-offs and assist with pricing estimates
• Maintain organized project files and records
• Help identify scope gaps and support procurement efforts
• Communicate with owners, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Equivalent field or construction experience considered
• 3+ years of Project Engineer or Field Engineer experience preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
• Ability to work in varying construction site conditions and environments

Technical Strengths

• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Strong coordination and documentation skills
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and field operations
