Technical Business Analyst - Application Rationalisation
12-Month Contract | Perth, WA (Hybrid)
We're seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to support the assessment and integration of application portfolios across acquired businesses.
You'll evaluate and prioritise diverse application landscapes, guiding them into the enterprise environment through standardisation, consolidation, onboarding, or retirement.
This is a 12-month contract focused on delivering structured, low-risk integration aligned to enterprise architecture, cyber security, legal, and governance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct application discovery and inventory across acquired businesses
- Assess applications against enterprise architecture, security, and governance standards
- Deliver retain / replace / consolidate / retire recommendations
- Build and maintain a prioritised integration roadmap
- Map dependencies, risks, effort, and cost impacts
- Engage vendors on contracts, support, and transition options
- Support data migration and application onboarding where required
- Produce user documentation and supporting materials
- Facilitate governance reviews (Architecture, Cyber, Legal, AI)
- Provide regular updates to senior stakeholders
Key Skills:
- Application portfolio analysis & rationalisation (assessing, categorising retain/replace/retire decisions)
- Technical understanding of enterprise systems + applications
- Stakeholder & workshop facilitation (Architecture, Cyber, Legal, senior leadership)
- Structured documentation & roadmap delivery (inventories, dependency maps, integration plans)
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- 3+ years' experience as a Business / Technical Analyst
- Immediate availability
- Strong background in application rationalisation
- Experience assessing complex system environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement, including senior leadership exposure
Desirable:
- ERP / CRM / document management experience.
- TOGAF or enterprise architecture exposure
