Director of Strategic Sectors

The Director of Strategic Sectors is responsible for leading the development and implementation of sectoral development plans across a diverse portfolio of strategic and emerging sectors, ensuring alignment with the public entity’s strategic direction and contributing to sustainable economic and social impact.

The role oversees initiatives related to industry, entrepreneurship and SMEs, sports and recreational activities and services, communications and information technology, metals and mining, energy, water, and other emerging sectors. Key responsibilities include identifying growth opportunities, enhancing sector competitiveness and supporting economic diversification and long-term development objectives.

The Director works closely with government entities, private sector stakeholders, investors, and internal departments to strengthen strategic partnerships, drive cross-sector collaboration, and ensure the effective execution of sector initiatives. The role also focuses on delivering measurable development outcomes aligned with national priorities, regulatory frameworks, and sustainable development goals.

Manin Responsibilities:

• Preparing a statement of strategic development sectors.
• Developing development targets and initiatives for other strategic sectors.
• Overseeing studies of specialized sectors and proposing policies and strategies for their development.
• Supervising development initiatives and overseeing the implementation of programs for the sectors.
• Reviewing periodic reports on performance and achievements, along with proposals for development and improvement and the requirements for their implementation

Qualifications & Experience:

• 8+ years' experience in strategic planning, sector development, economic development, consulting, or business leadership.
• Experience working with government entities, investors, or industry stakeholders is highly desirable.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent).
