Mathematics Expert - Fully Remote

Mercor is seeking a Mathematics Expert to work on evaluating AI model performance on mathematics problems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and be able to produce original problem sets and provide clear feedback to improve training data quality. Requirements - PhD in Mathematics - MS in Mathematics with 3+ years teaching, research, or applied work - BS in Mathematics with 5+ years tutoring, contest coaching, or applied math work - Working fluency in at least two of: analysis, algebra, probability, combinatorics, numerical methods, applied math - Comfortable reading and interpreting function plots, geometric figures, statistical charts, and mathematical diagrams - Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form
