Survey Field Service Technician- Energy

Essential Functions:
- Set up, adjust, and operate surveying equipment and instruments to collect field data, reporting data back to surveyors and other Wightman professionals
- Measure, record, and calculate data based on instrument readings
- Layout, locate and recover markings, stakes, and other such signifiers at work locations
- Help create drawings and computer images of job locations
- Maintain equipment and vehicles
- Assist in conducting surveys to determine location of natural features and man-made structures on the surface, underground or underwater
- Collect information needed to carry out new surveys using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records and other relevant information
- Perform manual labor such as bending, digging with a hand shovel, cutting brush for lines, carrying equipment, stakes, rebar and other items that may be heavy (5-50 lbs)
- Ability to plan, schedule work, and complete work within established budgets and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer knowledge and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and various types of physical environments
- Reports directly to Crew Chief
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree or higher
- Certified Survey Technician
- 2+ years related experience
- Overnight Travel Required
