Job Description: We are on the lookout for a highly experienced Senior Business Consultant who can lead P&C Insurance Consulting initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your expertise in business analysis, requirements gathering, and project execution to drive successful outcomes for our clients. You will oversee multiple projects, working closely with client stakeholders and internal teams, including developers, project managers, and testers.
Key Areas Of Responsibility
As a Senior Business Consultant at Ogon, you will:
- Project Vision and Scope:
- Collaborate with client Business Leads and team members to define the vision and scope for insurance software implementation projects.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead a small team, plan testing activities, and facilitate client meetings.
- Manage defect triaging and resolution processes.
- Requirements Management:
- Review and finalize requirements with clients for approval and signoff.
- Drive key requirements elicitation, design, and review sessions.
- Utilize software development methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum and Waterfall.
- Write concise user stories and define precise acceptance criteria with business approval.
- Documentation:
- Elicit detailed product requirements and use cases, maintaining comprehensive business requirement documentation.
- Periodically review and update requirement documents to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with business stakeholders for User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and signoff.
- Act as a liaison between the business side and IT department or external service providers.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating strong multitasking abilities.
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Lead requirements and discovery workshops.
- Plan and coordinate project kick-off activities with both client and internal teams.
- Analyze and document business requirements using relevant formats, including BRDs, use cases, and definition worksheets.
- Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Perform QA and functional testing of deliverables before client delivery.
- Conduct functional demos with customer stakeholders.
- Assist in developing functional test plans and test cases, collaborating with client SMEs and Ogon testers on planning and execution.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Facilitate project meetings with client stakeholders and internal project teams.
- Contribute to Ogon's PMO capabilities, focusing on efficiency and effectiveness.
- Engage in process excellence initiatives.
- Develop and deliver presentations to foster alignment and clarify project impacts, benefits, and expected changes.
- Extensive experience in business analysis, particularly within the insurance industry.
- Proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with insurance software products, including Guidewire InsuranceSuite, InsuranceNow, BriteCore, Sapiens CoreSuite, or similar is a plus.
