Project Manager / Electrical Engineer

Overview

The Project Manager / Electrical Engineer role combines project management and electrical engineering expertise. This position involves overseeing projects from concept to commissioning, estimating and quoting, programming and designing industrial control systems (PLC’s, HMI’s, Drives, Motion systems), travel for on-site commissioning, CAD design for schematics and panel layouts, and handling high-level service calls on-site. Effective communication, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a keen understanding of customer requirements are essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Project management from concept to commissioning.
• Project estimating and quoting.
• Programming and design of PLC’s, HMI’s, Drives and Motion systems.
• Travel and on-site commissioning.
• CAD schematic and panel layout designs.
• On-site high-level service calls.

Requirements & Skill Set

• Experience with industrial controls design and programming.
• CAD design experience.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 lbs. up to a height of 3 feet.

Education

• Four-year degree.
• Two-year degree.
• High School diploma and experience.

• Willing to work on multiple projects or applications.
• Understanding of customer requirements to provide acceptable solutions.
