Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning: Develop and maintain realistic production schedules for complex, made-to-order manufacturing cycles.
- Resource Optimisation: Balance labour, material availability, and machine capacity to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with the Sales, Engineering, and Procurement teams to manage lead times and design changes.
- Workflow Management: Monitor progress on the factory floor, identifying bottlenecks and implementing real-time adjustments to the schedule.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to management regarding production status, capacity constraints, and output forecasts.
- Manufacturing Background: Proven experience in scheduling or planning within a heavy manufacturing or automotive environment (made-to-order experience is highly regarded).
- Technical Proficiency: Strong expertise in ERP/MRP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Problem Solving: The ability to think on your feet when supply chain disruptions or urgent customisations arise.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to negotiate timelines with both office-based staff and factory personnel.
- Attention to Detail: A rigorous approach to data integrity and timeline management.
