As a Parts manager, you are a valued member of our team, performing:
Duties And Responsibilities
- Train parts department and warehouse staff
- Organizes and oversees employees’ work and schedules.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
- Assist all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
- Answer phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
- Provide and high level of service to internal and external customers.
- Locate out-of-Stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders as needed.
- Follow up on Back ordered parts.
- Replenishes assigned inventory.
- Assists Outside Sales Representatives with their orders.
- Makes sure all internal requests for parts are billed on service repair orders.
- Receive payment from retail customers or obtain credit authorization.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and understand the fluctuating needs for
- Various replacement parts to excel in the role.
- Ability to read work orders submitted by service department.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
- Computer proficiency
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum successful completion of technical school program and/or
- Five years of experience in automotive shop
- 1 year of experience in parts counter sales, or an Associate’s degree and 1 year of experience in the industry.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
