Associate - Investment Team

We are looking for an Associate to join our Investment Team in Hong Kong to support Senior Private Equity Investment Professionals in reviewing potential investment opportunities, due diligence of fund and direct investments, portfolio monitoring and capital raising and investor relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of various investment opportunities, including fund and direct investments.
• Support senior investment professionals in due diligence procedures, research and financial modelling.
• Prepare materials for senior professionals to use in client meetings, to support the firm's engagement with institutional investors.
• Support end-to-end deal execution and liaise with legal or consulting parties on assigned portfolios and investment projects.
• Assist in all aspects of the investment process, including drafting investment recommendations, presenting to investment committees, obtaining internal approvals and closing documentation.
• Assist in monitoring existing portfolios (both fund and direct investment portfolios), including regular update reports and valuation exercises.

Qualifications

• At least 2-3 years’ working experience in financial markets with a strong financial literacy, understanding
• of basic accounting principles and analytical skills
• Experience in private equity or investment management would be an advantage
• Strong intellectual curiosity and a fast learner, demonstrated can-do attitude
• Attention to details
• Strong co-ordinator and team player, willing and able to multi-task
• Financial modelling capability
• Solid, demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Fluency in English and Mandarin
• Strong computer skills, especially with MS Excel and PowerPoint
