Operations Engineer at atNorth

As an Operations Engineer at atNorth, you play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of our mission‑critical data center infrastructure. You will provide hands‑on operational and technical support, work closely with internal teams, vendors, and customers, and contribute to continuous improvement of our operational processes.

This role combines technical expertise, operational discipline, and a strong service mindset in a fast‑paced, high‑availability environment.

This role may be a good fit if you have experience in facility services, mechanical or electrical service work, industrial environments, or as an installation electrician or cooling technician.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be part of Operations team and perform work related to monitoring, service, and maintenance of data center infrastructure in accordance with standard atNorth operating procedures
  • Participate in an on‑call rotation to ensure rapid response to critical incidents outside normal business hours
  • Organize maintenance on infrastructure, including UPS, cooling systems, HVAC units, switchgear, and related systems
  • Monitor the Data center and it’s different systems on a daily basis to ensure performance, uptime, and safety at all times
  • Support installation of equipment and provide services for customers when required
  • Coordinate and supervise vendors and contractors, ensuring work is carried out according to agreed standards, procedures, and safety requirements
  • Respond together with team colleagues to incidents, outages, and facility events in line with established emergency procedures
  • Be part of improve daily processes and support initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Work in atNorth infrastructure systems/CMMS with work orders and asset management
  • Support administrative and operational tasks such as procurement, budgeting input, and vendor performance tracking

Your profile:

  • Experience in data center maintenance of infrastructure including critical infrastructure environments
  • You will work with technical infrastructure systems like UPS, cooling, HVAC, Fire, mechanical & electrical systems
  • Troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving skills
  • Experience working with vendors, contractors, and service providers
  • Familiarity with BMS/CMMS systems and perform maintenance documentation
  • A strong safety and compliance mindset, with the confidence to stop work if risks are identified
  • Have a customer‑focused approach and able to communicate with an open mindset
  • Feel comfortable to work independently and contributing effectively to a team environment
  • Background check is conducted for to our employees

Relevant technical certifications are considered an advantage.
