A fast-growing, mission-driven healthcare technology organization is seeking a Vice President of Product Management to lead innovation across its payer-focused product portfolio. The organization applies advanced analytics and AI/ML technologies to deliver intelligent solutions that streamline healthcare payer operations and improve financial and clinical outcomes.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Product, this executive will shape product vision and drive execution across a suite of payer solutions. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for delivering competitive, differentiated offerings aligned with the evolving needs of the healthcare market.


As Vice President of Product Management, you will serve as the strategic leader for payer-focused product offerings. You will drive the full product lifecycle, from concept and market validation through development, launch, and optimization.


This role requires close partnership across data science, engineering, sales, marketing, implementation, and customer success. You will define and execute product strategy, prioritize investments, and ensure successful go-to-market delivery of AI-powered solutions designed for commercial and government healthcare customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end product strategy, definition, development, launch, and lifecycle management of innovative AI/ML-enabled solutions supporting payer operations such as payment integrity, coordination of benefits, and value optimization.
  • Own and evolve the product roadmap based on market trends, customer insights, competitive dynamics, and corporate priorities.
  • Conduct deep market, competitive, and user research to identify and define new product opportunities.
  • Translate customer needs into clear product requirements and partner with engineering teams in an Agile development environment.
  • Drive go-to-market strategy in collaboration with marketing, sales, and customer success teams.
  • Serve as a product evangelist internally and externally, shaping product positioning and enabling adoption.
  • Align cross-functional teams around product strategy, timelines, and value proposition.
  • Support executive-level customer engagements, sales presentations, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Develop business cases, performance metrics, and forecasts to guide investment decisions and measure product impact.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of product management experience with a strong focus on healthcare payer or health plan solutions, including at least 5 years in a senior product leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex product initiatives from concept through launch and scale.
  • Deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare payer landscape, including operational workflows, reimbursement models, and enabling technologies.
  • Experience working with AI/ML-enabled healthcare products and collaborating with data science and engineering teams.
  • Experience with government payers (e.g., VA, DHA) is strongly preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to define and articulate compelling product vision and strategy.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder influence skills.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
  • Proficiency in Agile product development methodologies and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and drive measurable outcomes in complex environments.
