CAD Operator / Designer – ACM & Exterior Cladding
Location: Charlotte, NC
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary Range $70-85K base
About the Role
Looking for a CAD Operator / Designer with experience in ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) panels and exterior cladding systems. This role will support the design, drafting, and detailing of commercial façade and cladding projects across the Eastern U.S.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed shop drawings and fabrication drawings for ACM and exterior cladding systems
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings
- Coordinate layouts, dimensions, and installation details
- Work closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams
- Revise drawings based on project changes and client feedback
- Ensure drawings meet project specifications and industry standards
Requirements
- Experience with ACM panels and exterior cladding systems
- Strong AutoCAD skills (Revit experience is a plus)
- Ability to read architectural and construction drawings
- Knowledge of fabrication and installation processes
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Construction or façade industry background preferred
Preferred
- Experience with commercial building envelope projects
- Understanding of aluminum panel systems and rainscreen assemblies
