Staff Accountant The Opportunity The Staff Accountant applies core accounting principles to support the accurate recording of financial information for UHP. This role plays a key part in daily accounting operations, account reconciliations, and overall support of the accounting function. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Primary Duties & Responsibilities - Record daily financial transactions with accuracy and consistency - Process Accounts Payable, including invoice review and payment preparation - Manage customer receivables, including weekly collections - Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation - Assist with general ledger entries and financial reporting - Respond to inquiries from vendors, internal teams, and external stakeholders in a professional manner - Support additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed Education & Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required - At least 1+ year years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related area - Experience in an accounting, billing, or student financials environment - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs required) - Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or HubSpot is a plus Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy - Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines - Ability to work effectively in a remote environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion Compensation & Benefits - Competitive compensation package - 401(k) - Health, dental, and vision insurance - Paid time off - Professional development support Why UHP - Belong to something, Believe in something, Strive for something. - Work alongside a team committed to excellence, growth, and purpose - Direct impact on the lives of service members and veterans - Work in a unique, high-performance campus environment
