Overview
An Account Executive / Senior Account Executive at AKA Asia supports the development and execution of integrated PR campaigns across lifestyle, entertainment, and corporate brands. This role involves managing day-to-day client communications, coordinating media outreach, crafting press materials, and ensuring seamless campaign delivery. You will work closely with internal teams and media partners to secure impactful coverage, while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering against strategic objectives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about storytelling, with a solid understanding of the media landscape in Singapore and the region.
Responsibilities
Client Handling
- Set up and attend client meetings (as part of a team) with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Understand the client’s goals and the team’s role in meeting those goals
- Produce reports with care and accuracy where required (social media evaluations, coverage
- reports etc)
- Monitor and flag issues relevant to client’s business
- Keep up to date on your client’s industry, especially competitor activity
- Work with AM/AD to understand client’s immediate and long-term needs
- Plan campaigns with team and support with implementing scope on projects to deadline
- Be detailed and thorough in research you carry out to provide the team with the best intel
- Support with brainstorms, research and proposal development
- Build knowledge of the different services we provide as an agency to help with development of
- integrated ideas and to grow existing clients
- Learn how we can communicate better through Digital and Design
- Establish key relationships through engagement with media & influencers
- Create first draft materials (press release, bi-lines, pitch notes and posts)
- Run daily media monitoring to stay updated on what makes news/trends
- Main contact for media enquiries and liaison with influencers
- Maintain media/influencer databases (on our platforms affable.ai & telum media)
- Master the technical aspects of managing digital channels e.g. social media, intranet, internal
- social platforms, podcasts
- Coordinate events including planning programme run-down, liaising with suppliers, creating
- media packs, logistics, travel requirements etc.Digital and Design
- Have sound and current knowledge of social media/digital platforms and be eager to learn more
- Create social media posts based on agreed content strategy
- Work closely with the Design team to deliver relevant assets for clients
- Prop source for shoots
- Keep on top of current trends and share with the team
- Stay on top of office administrative matters i.e. timesheets, expense reports, petty cash etc.

- 1 – 4 years in the communications industry, with relevant experience
- Good writing skills (across various platforms)
- Experience working with media & influencers
- Capability across multiple comms platforms including social media (instagram, facebook, twitter, tiktok, linkedin etc), events and media relations
- Provide reliable support to teams on accounts and new business
- Shown clear ability to deliver tasks accurately and on time
