Mid level .NET Developers with Baseline clearance

We are seeking a .NET Developer to support the design, development, enhancement, testing, and support of secure enterprise digital services. The role suits a strong hands-on developer who can work effectively within an Agile delivery team and contribute to API, integration, backend, and web application development under the guidance of senior technical leads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using C# and .NET technologies
  • Build and enhance REST APIs, backend services, and web applications
  • Support system integration with internal and external platforms
  • Contribute to solution design, technical documentation, and estimation
  • Write unit tests and support system, integration, and user testing
  • Resolve defects, troubleshoot issues, and support releases
  • Work with DevOps pipelines, version control, and deployment processes
  • Collaborate with business analysts, testers, architects, and delivery teams
  • Follow secure coding, development standards, and Agile ways of working

Core Skills and Experience

  • Experience in C#, .NET / .NET Core / ASP.NET
  • Experience building REST APIs and backend services
  • Good understanding of SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Git, or similar
  • Experience working in Agile delivery teams
  • Ability to analyse issues, develop solutions, and complete assigned tasks with limited supervision
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Azure cloud services
  • Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture
  • Experience with React, Angular, or modern front-end frameworks
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or container-based deployment
  • Experience in secure environments or government projects
  • Understanding of authentication and authorization patterns such as OAuth2, OIDC, or Entra ID

Suitable Profile

  • Strong hands-on developer
  • Typically 4 to 8 years relevant experience
  • Comfortable contributing across build, test, defect resolution, and release support
  • Not a lead architect role and not a junior role

Clearance / Eligibility

  • Australian citizen preferred
  • Baseline clearance, or ability to obtain, preferred if required by the RFQ
