A rapidly growing organization in the Defense Industry is seeking a Federal/Defense Account Manager in the Greater Huntsville, AL or Detroit, MI area.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow strategic relationships with senior stakeholders across federal defense organizations and partner ecosystems.
- Own the full sales cycle from pipeline development through contract award and expansion.
- Identify, qualify, and close complex enterprise opportunities for AI, data, logistics, and supply chain solutions.
- Navigate multi-stakeholder procurement processes, long sales cycles, and competitive federal buying environments.
- Consistently deliver against multi-million-dollar annual revenue targets.
Qualifications
- 7–15+ years of federal sales experience.
- Proven success closing $1M+ deals and achieving $3M–$10M annual quotas.
- Strong relationships with program, sustainment, logistics, or supply chain decision-makers within federal accounts.
- Experience selling complex solutions that combine software, hardware, and professional services.
- Demonstrated ability to manage 6–18 month sales cycles and communicate credibly with senior executive stakeholders.
