If you are ready for the challenge, want continuous growth, and want to become an expert in this field, this position as the SQL Database Administrator in the Technology Services Division’s Infrastructure Services Bureau, Enterprise Database Management Section Unit B is for you. Under the direction of the Enterprise Database Management Section Unit B Manager, a significant aspect of your job is to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and document SQL Database Management systems software. You will work independently and as part of a core group of Systems Programmers/Specialists providing 24x7x365 support on mission critical systems software, key to the successful mission of the Franchise Tax Board and the State of California.

- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Administration
- Experience in Database Administration on Windows environment
- Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell, C#, Java, JavaScript, BASH, Perl, or Python etc.
- Experience with Performance Tuning, Troubleshooting, Installing, and Configuration of Databases
- Experience with Database Clusters, Database Migrations, Database Backup, Restore and Disaster Recovery
- Experience with any other RDBMS Software such as MySQL, Sybase, Db2, Oracle, etc.
- Experience in Database Administration on Linux or Unix environments
- Experience in Cloud Computing Technologies such as Azure, AWS, GCP
- Experience in Azure DevOps Services
- Experience with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Software Development Life Cycle(SDLC), and Project Management Principles
