Application Support Analyst

Akkodis is seeking a – “Application Technical Specialist I” for a Contract positions with a client located in Smithfield, RI.
Pay Range: $16 - $17/hr. (The rate/salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Position Overview
This is a temporary contractor position supporting technology rollout projects in a call center environment. The team provides first-level technical support to technicians, vendors, and contractors implementing hardware and technology upgrades in retail store locations.
This is not a traditional customer service call center role.
Responsibilities include:
- Handling inbound and outbound calls related to technology implementation projects
- Supporting field technicians with troubleshooting during hardware installations and upgrades
- Updating tracking systems and validating project information
- Providing status updates via email and Excel when not on calls
- Supporting multiple rollout projects simultaneously
All required training, project documentation, and system access will be provided.
Schedule & Training
- Shift schedules may change based on project needs, including evenings, nights, and different time zones
- Advance notice will be provided for any schedule changes
- Paid onsite training is conducted 5 days per week
- Training schedules may vary but will occur between 8:00 AM–8:00 PM
- Start dates may occur sooner than originally specified
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask across multiple projects
Preferred:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- IT hardware installation or technology implementation experience
- Candidates with diverse IT support or technology deployment experience are encouraged to apply.
