The Opportunity
We are seeking a results-oriented Email Marketing Specialist for a fast-paced, 3-month contract role based in Nashville. In this hybrid position, you will own the end-to-end execution of email campaigns, from lifecycle strategy and audience segmentation to deployment and performance analysis. This is a critical role designed to support our marketing team during a high-volume period, ensuring our digital communications remain engaging, on-brand, and data-driven.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Execution: Build, test, and deploy high-volume email campaigns and automated "drip" sequences (e.g., welcome series, nurture funnels, and re-engagement).
- Audience Management: Manage list hygiene and build sophisticated audience segments based on user behavior, CRM data, and lifecycle stages.
- Design & Content: Use HTML/CSS or drag-and-drop editors to ensure responsive design across all devices. Collaborate with creative teams to align messaging with brand voice.
- A/B Testing & Optimization: Conduct continuous testing on subject lines, CTAs, and layout variations to drive higher open and click-through rates.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders to improve future campaign performance.
- Compliance: Ensure all email deployments adhere to CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and deliverability best practices.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2–4+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing or marketing automation.
- Technical Proficiency: Mastery of major ESPs (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Klaviyo, or Mailchimp).
- Technical Skills: Functional knowledge of HTML/CSS for email and familiarity with cross-client testing tools (e.g., Litmus or Email on Acid).
- Analytical Mindset: Comfortable interpreting data and using Google Analytics or internal CRM dashboards to measure success.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines; experience with tools like Asana or Workfront is a plus.
- Location: Must be local to the Nashville area to accommodate the hybrid schedule.
