The Manager of PMO leads the Program Management Office to implement and maintain standardized project management practices, governance, and overall Customer Order oversight across the Gaven portfolio. This role ensures projects are delivered efficiently, timely, on-cost, and compliant, supporting project managers and product line teams to meet business objectives. This role will also work closely with Sales, Business Development, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to oversee the strategic planning, development, cost management, and ERP execution of the company's product development operations and related programs and services.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and continuously improve project management methodologies, tools, and processes (including ERP execution)
- Develop, implement, and communicate key program performance metrics, risks, milestones, specifications/requirements, documentation/reporting requirements, cost management (budgets), and issue escalation
- Provide portfolio-level reporting and support risk management across the Gaven portfolio including, but not limited to: Programs/Projects, Customer Orders, and Services
- Support Program/Project managers with industry best practices including coaching, training, and resource coordination
- Ensure ERP compliance, establishing program management best practices to enhance oversight of cost, schedule, and ensure reliable tracking through key indicators that meet or exceed industry standards and regulatory/compliance requirements
- Facilitate coordination and sharing of best practices across programs and product lines
- Lead, supervise and develop the PMO team, including project controls and reporting metrics
- Align PMO activities with organizational goals and priorities
- Ensure timely invoicing of all Gaven projects
- Establish and maintain resource plan and department budget
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Strong Program Management and Project Management skills for planning, execution and successful delivery of complex programs and projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to improve business processes and practices to reduce costs and increase efficiency
- Ability to identify and implement best practices and continual performance measurement
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Proficient with the financial tools required to make estimates, business forecasts, and strategic decisions
- Knowledge of ERP systems
- Bachelor's degree in related field required or equivalent pertinent industry experience; master's degree is a plus
- At least ten years of hands-on experience in project, program, and cost management
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification is desired
- This is a position requires a Security Clearance, which the successful candidate must be able to obtain within 6-months of starting
