Position Overview
The Controller will lead core accounting functions while overseeing liquidity, cash management, and treasury operations across multiple entities and properties. This individual will play a key role in strengthening financial infrastructure, improving reporting processes, and supporting strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities and hotel assets
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and third-party operators
- Maintain internal controls and accounting policies
- Supervise AP, AR, payroll, and operational accounting functions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives
Treasury & Cash Management
- Oversee treasury operations, including cash positioning and liquidity management
- Manage banking relationships and optimize cash management strategies
- Monitor debt compliance, covenant reporting, and lender requirements
- Coordinate intercompany funding and capital movements
- Assist with investment funding, distributions, and property-level cash flows
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
- 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Experience within real estate, hospitality, private equity, or asset management strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of multi-entity accounting structures
- Treasury and cash management experience required
- Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with senior leadership
