Financial Controller

A growing asset management firm with a portfolio concentrated in hospitality investments is seeking a highly capable accounting and finance leader to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and treasury management across the organization.

Position Overview

The Controller will lead core accounting functions while overseeing liquidity, cash management, and treasury operations across multiple entities and properties. This individual will play a key role in strengthening financial infrastructure, improving reporting processes, and supporting strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities and hotel assets
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and third-party operators
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies
• Supervise AP, AR, payroll, and operational accounting functions
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives

Treasury & Cash Management

• Oversee treasury operations, including cash positioning and liquidity management
• Manage banking relationships and optimize cash management strategies
• Monitor debt compliance, covenant reporting, and lender requirements
• Coordinate intercompany funding and capital movements
• Assist with investment funding, distributions, and property-level cash flows

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Experience within real estate, hospitality, private equity, or asset management strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of multi-entity accounting structures
• Treasury and cash management experience required
• Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with senior leadership
