Role will also support operations activity in the region & act as a back up for the distribution business & COO activities for Taiwan.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the end-to-end daily operations for onshore DIM Portfolio/ funds, including Fund Administration, Transfer Agency, other Middle Office functions and any services from third party service providers.
- Work closely with regional & global teams in developing the local business needs & delivering the day-to-day services for the local portfolios & global & regional portfolios.
- Support change management including new DIM Portfolio/ funds launches and terminations, in coordination with all stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure seamless execution in compliance with regulatory & group expectation.
- Manage and oversee post execution trade lifecycle, including order processing, trade settlement, corporate actions, valuation, fund accounting etc, performed by internal teams and external providers.
- Promptly respond to queries from the internal teams (investment management, client services) and provide solutions to the issues encountered by the investment teams.
- Analyze, review, and prepare regulatory, compliance, management, analytical and ad-hoc report requests from internal/external stakeholders. Maintain awareness of industry, markets, best practices, and regulatory changes & analyze the impact & help oversee, develop, and implement new processes in meeting these requirements.
- Back up & support the regional operations activities, the distribution business & COO activities in Taiwan.
- Internal: Portfolio Managers, Dealers, Client Services, Sales, Operations & IT teams
- External: Custodians, Fund Administration, Market Intermediary and Service Providers
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years relevant working experience preferably with 5 years in Asset Management/Custody
- Qualification exam for Senior Securities Specialist or Securities Investment Trust and Consulting Professionals
- Familiarity with local regulatory environment and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in written and oral English & Mandarin.
- Sound knowledge of the Asset Management industry and understanding of back and front office functions.
- Good understanding of security markets & settlement practices across Asian markets, in particular Taiwan and other Asian markets
- Excellent communication skills, be able to lead meetings & discussions and drive consensus.
- Strong interpersonal skill, maintain good partnership with PM, team, internal users in Asia & global and external service providers
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of Blackrock Aladdin Solution is an advantage
