- Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager and Account Manager to review RFQs, technical specifications, bid contracts, and unique customer requirements.
- Conduct site visits with the sales team to understand customer applications and product integration.
- Shadow field service technicians to gain insight into service products and team capabilities.
- Participate in hands-on learning within the shop to understand in-house manufacturing and service capabilities.
- Support the sales team with energy audits and related initiatives.
- Attend sales meetings and deliver presentations on products and services.
- Complete training in technical equipment sales and the overall sales process.
- Provide timely technical, marketing, and commercial support to the Direct Sales organization.
- Prepare quotations, data, drawings, and bid documents for projects of varying sizes and complexities.
- Deliver accurate, high-quality sales and technical support via phone, email, and direct customer interactions.
- Coordinate activities across internal departments, external contractors, vendors, and approval agencies.
- Offer application engineering expertise for special projects, including conceptual design and product modifications.
- Support internal teams with commercial and technical negotiations as needed.
- Manage assigned projects from inception through completion within agreed timelines.
- Research and respond to marketing, technical, and application-related questions from peers and customers.
- Prepare equipment pricing and cost estimates in line with company policies.
- Assist in developing bid strategies and optimizing bills of materials for projects.
- Analyze competitor products and strategies, sharing insights with the Direct Sales team and other stakeholders.
- Help create promotional and technical materials for internal and external use.
- Engage in collaborative problem-solving, decision-making, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support and refine product selection procedures while communicating updates to the Direct Sales team.
- Assist the Senior Project Manager with high-profile or complex projects requiring special documentation, testing, or inspections.
- Pursue ongoing professional development through product training, webinars, internal cross- training, and external courses or seminars.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a P.Eng. designation is required. Minimum of 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Project Management experience (PMP designation) is also desirable.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitudes are essential for success in this role.
- Experience working with compressed air systems or rotating equipment.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3, CSA B51, and other relevant industry codes/standards is an asset but not mandatory.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot systems, interpret technical data, and assess customer requirements.
- Able to perform basic equipment performance calculations and recommend technical solutions.
- Capable of analyzing and interpreting system specifications and converting them into practical, real-world applications.
- Proven experience managing full project lifecycles from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out.
- Skilled in developing detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets using tools like MS Project
- Expertise in risk management, change management, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with varying complexity and timelines.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Exceptional technical writing skills, with demonstrated experience in preparing technical sales quotations and project proposals.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the ability to clearly convey complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar design and modeling software.
- Prior experience in creating Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and system layout drawings.
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term, high-quality professional relationships with clients, suppliers, suppliers, contractors and internal team members.
- Results-driven self-starter, able to manage time and priorities effectively to achieve specific goals and deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Demonstrated team player who also excels when working independently.
- Tactful and assertive when interacting with customers, sales personnel, engineers, and external contractors.
- The position is based out of our head office located in Surrey, BC.
- This role will require occasional out of office site visits to ensure projects are properly executed and remain on schedule.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major violations, suspensions, or DUIs in the past five years). A driver's abstract may be required.
- Valid Canadian passport with the ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States as needed.
