Associate Data Engineer

In this role, you’ll translate business needs into data models and pipelines that support analytics and decision-making across the organization. You’ll gain hands-on experience with modern data tools, collaborate with experienced engineers, and grow your technical skillset in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do
- Support the design of conceptual, logical, and physical data models within our enterprise data warehouse
- Help document and map data systems, flows, and architectures (current and future state)
- Partner with IT teams and architects to define data integrations and interfaces
- Quickly secure initial data access, then build scalable, reliable ETL processes
- Analyze system performance and recommend improvements
- Contribute to data strategy and technology decisions, balancing performance and cost
- Participate in data modeling, integration planning, and design reviews
- Create clear documentation, diagrams, and technical visuals
- Stay current with evolving tools, technologies, and best practices
- Collaborate and share knowledge across teams
- One of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- OR High school diploma/equivalent with four (4) years of IT experience
- Exposure to data warehousing concepts or data blending (mashups)
- Experience or familiarity with enterprise IT environments
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Experience with documentation tools such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as C#, .NET, Python, Scala, PowerShell, or SQL
- Background in systems engineering or application development
- Experience creating technical diagrams or data models
