A leading Australian financial services organisation is undertaking a major technology uplift, building modern, cloud‑native platforms that support high‑volume, business‑critical financial transactions. You’ll be joining a fully onshore engineering team working on greenfield initiatives with real scale and impact.
Your New Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior .NET Engineer to join a collaborative engineering squad contributing to the greenfield build of a new settlements platform.
This role is well suited to either a full‑stack engineer (React + backend) or a backend/API‑focused engineer with strong .NET experience. You will work closely with Product Owners and Engineers based locally and can flex across multiple areas of the platform depending on your strengths.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and building scalable, resilient systems for a new settlements platform
- Developing backend services and APIs using .NET
- Contributing to frontend functionality using React (where applicable)
- Working within an AWS environment, including Postgres and AuroraDB
- Applying DevSecOps principles within a “build it, ship it, own it, operate it” model
- Building and maintaining automated tests to ensure high-quality delivery
- Collaborating with Product Owners and Engineers, including team members with strong business analysis capability
- Contributing to other platform components with a balanced split between frontend and backend responsibilities
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Strong commercial experience with .NET
- Full‑stack experience with React, or strong backend engineering capability
- Proven experience building and consuming APIs
- Hands-on AWS experience, including Postgres and AuroraDB
- Strong understanding of resilient, scalable, distributed systems
- Demonstrated DevSecOps mindset with end-to-end service ownership
- Experience with test automation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, onshore team
