About Your New Employer

West Technology has been exclusively engaged to recruit a .Net Engineer to join a fast growing Australian business operating in the FMCG sector. This business attributes it's ongoing success to the calibre of its’ people in addition to the entrepreneurial style of the leadership team. This business is investing in the IT function to allow for future growth and expansion.

About Your New Role

The .NET Engineer position has been created to oversee the development, integration and support of the applications being used across the business.

This role will work across legacy systems with the aim of modernising, streamlining and uplifting the application portfolio for the business.

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, your key tasks will include:

  • Bridge the gap between technical logic and business needs, translating stakeholder requirements into high-performing technical solutions.
  • Develop and maintain C# .NET applications ranging from legacy ASP.NET (3.5-4.8) to modern library projects.
  • Work across the full stack, including WPF desktop utilities and REST API integrations (Shopify, Logistics, and E-commerce).
  • Design, write and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, views and functions, using ADO.NET and SQL to manage primary ERP (Advantage Database Server) and SQLite databases.
  • Help lead our transition from SVN to Git, ensuring version control and documentation (Confluence) remain gold standard.

About You

  • You're a passionate Developer who enjoys the "detective work" of legacy systems just as much as greenfield development.
  • You bring skills with C#, .Net, Rest API, Linq, Lambda, SQL and ADO.NET.
  • You are strong with integrations and are able to see the bigger picture of how applications can underpin growth for the business.
  • Interpersonally, you are a clear and concise communicator who can relay complex subjects to non-technical people, whilst knowing how to bring people on the journey with you.
