This position serves as the first point of contact for customers entering the yard. We are looking for someone dependable, organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide professional customer service.
- Weigh inbound and outbound scrap materials.
- Process customer transactions accurately using company software (RIMAS).
- Obtain and verify customer information for purchases and payments.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and daily documentation.
- Communicate with yard personnel and drivers regarding traffic flow and loads.
- Assist with general office and administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Previous cashier, office, dispatch, scale house, or customer service experience is helpful, but not required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Saturday hours: 8:00 AM – Noon.
