We’re working with a specialist engineering solutions business seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth across key infrastructure and mining accounts.


This is a client-facing commercial role suited to someone who can combine technical understanding, strategic account development and disciplined B2B sales execution.


You’ll be responsible for building and managing a regional network of customers, consultants, contractors, engineers and industry partners, identifying opportunities, shaping technical solutions, leading proposal development and winning work.


The Role


You will:

  • Develop and grow relationships across the infrastructure and mining markets.
  • Identify key customers and build strategic account plans to drive repeat business.
  • Engage with engineers, contractors, consultants and other technical stakeholders.
  • Lead site visits, client meetings, presentations and technical discussions.
  • Coordinate proposals, estimates and commercial submissions.
  • Work closely with internal technical, estimating and operations teams.
  • Manage opportunities and client activity through Salesforce.
  • Follow up proposals, negotiate outcomes and close sales.
  • Support smooth project handovers once work is won.
  • Maintain strong client service standards before, during and after project delivery.


About You


You will have:


  • At least 5 years’ technical B2B sales experience.
  • A background in building, construction, engineering, infrastructure or mining-related markets.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a clear understanding of the sales process.
  • Confidence engaging with technical stakeholders and translating client issues into workable solutions.
  • Excellent communication, proposal writing and relationship management skills.
  • Strong organisational discipline and CRM/sales pipeline management experience.
  • A proactive, accountable and results-focused approach.
  • A current driver licence and full Australian working rights.


A tertiary qualification in building, construction, engineering or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
