Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Domestic Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive business growth across the Indian market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets in the plastics, packaging, and manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify new domestic markets, untapped territories, and potential high-value clients.
- Explore opportunities in industries such as packaging, plastic processing, FMCG, agriculture, and automotive.
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital platforms.
- Develop a strong sales pipeline and convert prospects into long-term customers.
- Build and maintain relationships with procurement heads, plant managers, and distributors.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Prepare customized proposals and quotations.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and supply agreements.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Maintain CRM and provide MIS reports, forecasts, and performance updates.
- Coordinate with production, technical, and operations teams to meet customer requirements.
- Travel extensively across India for customer meetings and business development activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- MBA preferred but not mandatory
- 2–5 years of experience in sales or business development
- Experience in masterbatch, plastics, packaging, chemicals, polymers, or industrial products preferred
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to travel across India
