Job Purpose
The accountant trainee ensures that all the bank movements are correctly recognized and duly supported in the accounting books.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily monitoring and controlling on the bank posting process;
- Prepare and record daily bank entries by compiling and analyzing bank statement and G/L account information;
- To collaborate with other teams to get the necessary information to proceed with bank postings;
- Responsible for the execution of the monthly bank reconciliations;
- To document month end bank evidences and supports;
- To collaborate with other teams to provide reports based on the bank accounting entries;
- Continuous improvement processes related to bank postings and bank reconciliations;
- Perform other reporting duties or ad-hoc tasks as required by the line manager.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualifications in Accounting/Finance/Economy or related discipline;
- Fluent in English (mandatory) and Spanish (preferable);
- Ability to multitask and set priorities;
- Knowledge of accounting standards and principles;
- Cultural awareness and working in international environment;
