Job Title: Technical Marketing Manager (Optics & Photonics)
Role Overview
We are seeking a technically grounded Marketing Manager to bridge the gap between our high-precision optical manufacturing capabilities and global market needs.
In this role, you will own how our optical components such as diffractive optical elements, micro-optics, and custom assemblies are positioned, communicated, and adopted across key industries. You will build credibility with engineers and decision-makers by translating complex technical capabilities into compelling value propositions.
This is a highly cross-functional role working closely with R&D, product management, and business development to drive design-ins and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
· Technical Content Creation
o Develop high-quality technical content including white papers, application notes, case studies, and website materials
o Explain component performance and system integration in laser-based applications (e.g., beam shaping, splitting, homogenization)
o Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and relevance
· Product Marketing & Positioning
o Analyse market trends across laser-driven sectors (medical aesthetics, material processing, semiconductor, metrology, etc.)
o Define differentiated value propositions aligned with our manufacturing strengths
o Translate technical features into customer-centric benefits
· Sales Enablement
o Create and maintain technical sales kits (presentations, application briefs, competitor comparisons)
o Support the business development team in customer engagements and technical discussions
Digital Presence: regularly publish in linkedin and other relevant social media and manage Holo/Or’s digital presence there , ensuring our micro-fabrication expertise is highlighted effectively.
· Exhibition Strategy: Select and manage our presence at Digital Marketing & Thought Leadership
o Own and execute digital marketing strategy (website, LinkedIn, industry platforms)
o Drive SEO-optimized content and inbound lead generation
o Track and improve engagement metrics and campaign performance
· Exhibitions & Industry Presence
o Plan and manage participation in key trade shows and conferences
o Develop booth concepts, demonstrations, and technical messaging
Customer Insights: Interview existing customers and our sales engineers to develop success stories and understand the technical pain points our components solved forvarious applications.
o Represent the company in industry events when needed
· Customer Insights & Voice of Customer
o Conduct customer interviews to extract insights and generate case studies
o Identify unmet needs and feed insights into product and marketing strategy
· Global Market Development
o Identify and prioritize new application areas and geographic markets
Channel Management: Identify, vet, and manage international distributors and manufacturers' representatives to extend our reach in local markets.
International Trade Shows: Lead the planning and execution of our presence at global events. This includes pre-show outreach to book high-value meetings and post-show technical follow-ups.
o Support go-to-market strategies for new products and technologies
Required Qualifications
· Education:
o Degree in Physics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field - a must
o MBA or marketing background is a plus, but not a substitute for technical expertise
· Experience:
o 3+ years in technical marketing, product marketing, or applications engineering in electro-optics / photonics
o Strong familiarity with optical systems and laser-based applications
· Technical Knowledge:
o Understanding of optical components, system integration, and manufacturing considerations
o Experience in industries such as medical devices, semiconductor, metrology, or industrial lasers
· Communication Skills:
o Exceptional ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
o Fluent, professional English writing and presentation skills
Mindset: A "startup" mentality
Preferred Skills
· Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Priority)
· Experience with SEO, analytics tools, and digital campaign management
· Background in B2B technical storytelling and product launches Reporting & Structure
· Reports to CEO
· Works closely with: R&D, Product Management, Sales
