Responsibilities
- Assist OSDS (Operational Strategy & Development Section) to drive bank wide strategic programs, operations related projects, new migration project to optimize and streamline banks’ operations and processes
- Co-ordinate between the business users, operations and IT Department to gather user requirements, design target E2E process, evaluate proposed solution, and project manage the successful delivery of the projects
- Program/ project management professional with process re-engineering/ business analyst expertise
- Ensure operation and/or project implementation cost is within the approved budget
- Co-ordinate with various user departments and stakeholders to define business requirements and work with the IT Department and vendors to drive project execution
- Provide support services on existing subject matter expert, participate and assist users migration, system migration if any
- Review existing process and provide target operating solutions
- Plan, develop, and implement best-fit processes and solutions for operation
- Lead and work with line team to carry out migration/training and implementation tasks according to schedule and within budget in nearshoring center
- Work closely with business sponsors and/ or Operation departments to identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and/ or external vendors on project planning and execution
- Comply with all applicable regulations, rules, codes, guidelines and standards set by regulators and the Bank, and carry out duties with high integrity; and
- Adhere to all established risk control guidelines, procedures and measures to identify, assess, report, mitigate and monitor the risks involved in the day-to-day work
Requirements
- Degree Holder, preferably majoring in Banking, Economics, Finance;
- Required over 5-10 years’ experience in the banking sector cover the following:
- At least 5 years’ work in banking products and operational functions, strong domain in areas not limited to Account Opening / Maintenance (AML/KYC), Settlements, Corporate Actions, Payment, Lending and Trade support.
- Experienced in establishing and monitoring Operational strategies and migration implementation.
- Strong knowledge of business and operation processes and models of banking, with thorough understanding of the local regulatory environment, policies and practices
- Conduct in-depth analysis of current processes, identify improvement opportunities, define future state processes
- Define scope and objectives, manage timelines and drive solution implementation for re-engineering projects
- Strong technical knowledge of the Bank’s products, services and systems.
- Perform ROI analysis of proposed solutions
- Partner with Business, Operation SMEs, IT on requirements for solution design, UAT and implementation
- Define KPIs for new processes, track, measure, analyze post-implementation results
- Good communication & stakeholders management skills and risk awareness as well as driving projects independently
- Excellent problem solving and presentation skills
- Result oriented and able to deliver under pressure
- Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese.
- Knowledge in data & AI tool is a plus
- Six Sigma, PMP, Agile certification is a plus
